SlidesLive’s New Library: Eternal Vaulting

Recently, SlidesLive has announced their plans to release a new online library with an upgraded design, improved aesthetics and an easier-to-use interface. It’s all still in the works, and we’re excited to share it with you! But first, let’s take a deeper look at one of the library’s new features: eternal vaulting.

Why eternal vaulting?

SlidesLive’s goal as a company is to create something of a 21st century Library of Alexandria. When the original library burnt down, hundreds of thousands of books were believed to have been lost. In the virtual world, there are different methods and safety measures we can take to preserve knowledge for future generations, and we plan to use the newest technology available to do so.

Our new virtual library will allow for even longer storage than we currently have, ensuring that people in the future can look back on the conferences and talks of today to learn more about the current era we’re living in, and that includes hybrid and all-virtual events. Anyone wondering how events worked during the COVID-19 pandemic can just click on a talk from that time and watch. It’s as simple as that.

How does it work?

Eternal vaulting is the ultimate goal, and we’re taking the next steps towards reaching it with the release of our new library. SlidesLive is a company that cares about the future of education and is willing to push all boundaries to improve it.
